Is A Minecraft Movie streaming in Australia yet?

The new film is just about to hit Australian cinemas on 3 April 2025. It will take about three months or longer for the latest theatrical releases to debut on subscription streaming. Before that, new titles are also expected to land on digital streaming via pay-per-view first, allowing movie fans to rent or buy the film.
But where will A Minecraft Movie be streaming in Australia after that? With Warner Bros. distributing the film, we can guess that Foxtel (including Foxtel Now) will be the first subscription services to stream the movie. This follows in the footsteps of other Warner Bros. titles making their streaming debuts on Foxtel, including Barbie, Wonka, Dune: Part Two, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, and The Watchers, to name a few.
What is the plot of A Minecraft Movie?
A group of misfits—Garrett “The Garbage Man” Garrison, Natalie, Dawn, and Henry—struggle with regular problems in the real world. As if that’s not enough, they are sucked into a mysterious portal and find themselves in a strange, cubic wonderland called Overworld.
As this magical place thrives on imagination, each one of them must adapt by unleashing their most creative, resourceful self. Mastering this world is also the only way for them to get back home. Not only that, they must embark on a magical quest with proficient crafter Steve, totally changing how they perceive Overworld and the world where they came from.
The cast of A Minecraft Movie includes Jason Momoa (Aquaman, Fast X) as Garrett, Jack Black (Kung Fu Panda 4, Dear Santa) as Steve, Emma Myers (Wednesday, A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder), Danielle Brooks (Peacemaker, Orange Is the New Black), Jennifer Coolidge (The White Lotus, 2 Broke Girls), Rachel House (Heartbreak High, Time Bandits), and Sebastian Hansen.
The film, which is based on Mojang Studios’ “Minecraft” , is directed by Jared Hess from a screenplay written by Chris Bowman, Hubbel Palmer, Neil Widener, Gavin James, and Chris Galletta. Star Jason Momoa co-produced the movie alongside Mary Parent, Cale Boyter, Roy Lee, Jon Berg, Jill Messick, Torfi Frans Olafsson, and Vu Bui.
