The early rounds of the 2024 Formula One World Championship season have been nothing short of spectacular – both on and off the track.
As the 2024 Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix draws near, racing fans are eagerly anticipating one of the most exciting events of the year. With 63 laps of the 4.909-kilometre Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, also known as Imola, this iconic circuit is set to challenge even the most skilled drivers. So, if you’re looking to stay ahead of the game, here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming race.
Where is the Emilia Romagna F1 Race held?
The Autodromo Nazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola, Italy, will host the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix 2024, also known as the Italian Grand Prix.
The race became part of the F1 live race circuit in 2020 and retained its place in 2021 due to races such as the Australian Grand Prix not taking place, in order to fill out the racing calendar. Its inclusion this year – the first of two Italian Grand Prix races in Formula 1 along with the Monza Gran Premio d’Italia – came as a welcome surprise to many after 2 years of excellent racing. It has been reported F1 have signed a deal to host the Italian Grand Prix here through to the end of 2025.
The circuit is no stranger to Grand Prix racing, however, having hosted its first Italian Grand Prix back in 1980. The Emilia Romagna Grand Prix will welcome the famous drivers to Imola, Italy, on the back of an insatiable start to the season, following on from the return of the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne. With 63 laps of the 4.9-kilometre race, the total racing distance is almost 310km – and if it’s anything like last year’s race you’re in for a high speed treat. With the season getting into full flow and heading to Europe for the first time this year, you can’t miss it.
What’s the weekend schedule?
The Autodromo Nazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari is the perfect location for the event. The track’s history and challenging layout are sure to make for an exciting race. As the world continues to recover from the pandemic, it is fantastic news that we can once again look forward to Formula 1 racing in Imola.
