Where to watch the 2022 European Women’s Handball Championship live
The first set of games in the preliminary rounds is set to take place on the 4th of November at the local time of 6 pm. However, the time difference means that the tournament won’t start here until the 5th in the early morning, 4 am, AEDT. Throughout the initial stages of the event, this start time will be common, as will the later kick-off at 6:30 am AEDT, which is a bit more manageable.
2022 European Women’s Handball Championship with Kayo
Watching all the handball with Kayo is a great idea for any sports fan especially given the unfortunate early start times to the game. Kayo’s functionality allows you to recall the action when it is more convenient for you. By all means, you can become nocturnal and watch all the games live – but if you find yourself unable to do so, the games will be on the platform waiting for you at a more sociable hour.
To get started with Kayo, all you need to do is head to their website or app and sign up on your laptop or favourite device. Oh and boy, there are quite a few different compatible devices. So, we’ve assembled a deep list – that can be found at the bottom of this article.
Subscriptions with Kayo start from as little as $25 per month. That gains you access to all their content on a single device. If you desire, you can choose a higher-priced option for access to more screens if you intend to watch sports in more than just one place. One of the most appealing factors of this service is that the company does not endorse any kind of lock-in contract. Meaning if you want a break from live sport or your financial circumstances change, you can leave the service with no quibble.
If you’re a brand new customer of Kayo, you can benefit from a 7-day free trial. Given that the tournament is only 16 days long in duration, this means if you time the trial right, you’ll be able to watch nearly half of it for free!

Format
The teams will start the EHF Euro 2022 competition in the first group phase, aiming for qualification to the second stage. Each of the four groups will be populated by four teams, with the top three teams proceeding to the next round. Even this preliminary round will feature some exciting matches like the tie featuring Sweden and Serbia. Furthermore, Germany was against Spain, with Carmen Martín being a key player for the Spanish.
The second phase will see the very best of Europe collide again, with fewer qualifiers (just the top two teams from the groups) advancing to the final weekend in the semi-finals. From which the remaining games will contest and determine the third place medal and of course the Handball Euro 2022 championship winners.
Can Nora Mørk become the GOAT?
Three-time Champions League winner, four-time European champion and two-time World champion with countless other domestic league titles, the Norwegian superstar, Nora Mørk commands respect on the handball court. Named as the 2021 handball player of the year, the right-back has delivered consistently within international handball, having finished the 2016 and 2020 tournaments as the top scorer with 50+ goals each time.
With the news that her teammate Camilla Herrem will not participate in the tournament due to injury, Nora also has the chance to level the record for most European titles won by a player. Now playing her club handball in Denmark, Nora will be aiming for another European Championship.
How far can Jauković and Raičević take Montenegro?
Montenegro lifted the trophy ten years ago on a rare occasion in which Norway was defeated in the final. However come 2022, the team is a very different-looking outfit. Milena Raičević was part of that title-winning squad but now takes a more experienced role at the age of 32, however, is still an exceptional talent as she tops the scoring charts in the EHF Champions League after three games played, with 26 goals for her team, Brest Bretagne – in France.
The Montenegrin side will have lots of firepowers as Đurđina Jauković has also been in great goal-scoring form, having made 25 goals in the same continental competition after three matchups. The pair will no doubt complement an attacking format that will endeavour to attack the game, other Euro 2022 teams will have to consistently mark these two to stop them from scoring points at will.
