Jan Blachowicz vs Glover Teixeira fight preview
Both Jan Blachowicz and Glover Teixeira are star performers that have fought over 35 times in MMA. Teixeira is the number one contender in the Light Heavyweight division after winning his last five fights against some of the best fighters in the business. His last win against Thiago Santos with a rear-naked choke, showing just how good he is technically, but he will have to be right on top of his game to overcome Blachowicz.
Jan Blachowicz won the Light Heavyweight title in Abu Dhabi last September against Dominick Reyes and defended it again at the UFC 259 against Israel Adesanya. Most of the losses he has had in UFC he has managed to avenge in rematches, notably against Jimi Manuwa and Corey Anderson. He is a very capable fighter but has been knocked out before by another UFC legend, Thiago Santos (2019)
UFC 267 is going to be a special occasion, and the fight card will also feature other world title fights, including Aljamain Sterling vs Petr Yan for the Bantamweight championship.

Tale of the tape
Following his win against Thiago Santos last year, Glover Teixeira will now be fighting Jan Blachowicz for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship.
While Texeira is ageing at 42, Blachowicz is 4 years younger. If rumours are to be believed, this match might be Glover Teixeira’s last shot at the UFC title. Teixeira is currently on a five-fight win streak, much like Blachowicz, so it is expected to be a close contest.
Can Jan Blachowicz defend the title?
Jan Blachowicz is not unfamiliar to Fight Island. It was the same place where he won the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship in September 2020. He had defeated Dominick Reyes at the UFC 253 and won the vacant title.
After that, Blachowicz once again proved himself by winning the title against Israel Adesanya at UFC 259, where he secured a win with a unanimous decision.
He can really mix it up whether fighting toe-to-toe or on that mat. The confidence and experience he has gained over recent fights means he goes into this one as a favourite. However, he was defeated by Thiago Santos, and man who Texiera managed to overcome to get this fight.
Will Glover Texeria bow out with a win?
Teixeira was last seen fighting agaisnt Thiago Santos. The UFC match, which was originally supposed to be held on September 12, 2020, was postponed twice due to both players testing positive for Covid-19. It was finally fought on November 7, 2020.
Glover Teixeira won the match by submission in the third round due to a rear-naked choke. It was an unexpected win that has catapulted him into the limelight again in the twilight of his career. Regardless of whether or not he wins this fight, it could be the final time we see this legend in action.
His condition for his age is nothing short of inspiring, but there is only so long the body can keep taking punishment in this business. He can definitely take the win at UFC 267, but he is really going to have to empty the tank to it.
Who else is fighting on UFC 267 Main Card?
