What is the Foxtel Plus Bundle?
Australians are fortunate enough to have access to the world’s best television– getting the best live TV and on-demand content from the US, England, Europe, and right here at home. But to fit all that content in, you’ll need more channels than just the basics you get on free-to-air – and that’s where pay TV service Foxtel comes in, and its base Foxtel entertainment package, Foxtel Plus.
With the Foxtel Plus pack’s diverse range of 60+ channels of all kinds, this plan is perfect for anyone who likes to turn on the TV and check out what’s on, no matter what mood you’re in.
There’s Showcase for HBO dramas, Arena for reality, Club MTV for music, History for docos, Fox Sports News for sports-related current events, and more. Plus, the option to select the Foxtel Plus-Netflix bundle.
What are the Foxtel Plus channels?
What channels are in Foxtel Plus? We weren’t kidding when we said you get a lot of channels to surf through – Foxtel Plus is packed with 61 Foxtel channels of all kinds, covering everything from chat shows to dramas, from comedy to music, as well as news and docos.
There have been recent additions to the Foxtel Plus bundle with Sky Racing channels, Dreamworks, Docos replacing Foxtel Arts, and the recently added lifestyle channel Real Life.
Foxtel channels and pricing changes in 2024: Foxtel’s pricing has been revamped, with the Kids and the Favourites channels now added to the base Foxtel Plus bundle, increasing Foxtel Plus’ plan fee to $70 per month and therefore increasing the pricing of other packages, including Sports.
Another highlight to Foxtel’s new packages is Multiscreen being included in all Foxtel bundles (letting you stream Foxtel to other TVs in the house). Prior to this, the Multiscreen feature was only included in the Platinum Plus bundle. Now, the Foxtel basic package includes all the channels from previously separated packs – Kids and Favourites – plus Multiscreen.

What shows are available with Foxtel Plus?
Not surprisingly with a name like the Foxtel Plus bundle, there’s entertainment galore to be found across the huge range of Foxtel Plus channels that you get, which means hundreds of TV shows!
Here are some of the Foxtel Plus highlights:
How much does Foxtel Plus cost?
Foxtel Plus boasts an incredible range of channels and an even more incredible price point. For $70/month, you get access to over 60 channels of entertainment, including all their TV and on-demand content. Plans locked in for 12 months, however, are usually offered for lower costs.
If you’re a new customer, you may have to pay a $35 standard connection and a $199 equipment fee (iQ5 with hard drive). It’s worth noting that there’s a way to avoid paying these upfront costs. So to have an included iQ box, new customers can choose the 12-month plan, meaning set-up costs are waived for plans locked in for a year.
That’ll save you hundreds of dollars in addition to the monthly discounts they usually offer to new customers, although Foxtel cancel fee applies to 12-month plans. If you already have a previously installed Foxtel satellite, you can simply order the self-install kit, saving you money and time.
As mentioned, when you sign up for a Foxtel plan and choose the 12-month lock-in contract, you get the iQ box with zero upfront costs. This means you get this nifty device without paying extra fees. Not only that, having an iQ box means discovering more content beyond Foxtel’s channel packs.
With other streaming apps like YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, Paramount+, alongside all catch-up TV apps such as ABC iView, SBS On Demand, 10 Play, 9Now, and 7plus, Foxtel gives users a wider range of entertainment options.

Does Foxtel offer no lock-in contract plans?
Yes. While they used to offer their Foxtel entertainment plus packages on a 12 or 24-month plan, it’s more flexible now with the month-to-month options.
The prices are the same but the no lock-in plans are usually not included in any of Foxtel’s deals and offers, such as monthly discounts of up to $41 per month and waived set-up costs that save you hundreds of dollars.

Will an existing Netflix account work on Foxtel?
If you want a Foxtel Plus-Netflix bundle, you absolutely can since customers with an existing Netflix account can watch Netflix shows and movies on the iQ4 or iQ5, as well as on the Netflix app.
To add Netflix to your Foxtel account, just press ‘home’ on your Foxtel remote and log in to your existing account.
What are the Foxtel Plus alternatives?
Foxtel Plus is the cheapest Foxtel entertainment package, but for those who are looking for other ways to access Foxtel channels, here are your best options:

The streaming service is also a great alternative since there’s no installation required and no lock-in contract. New customers can even try all channel packs with a 10-day free trial.
Watch Foxtel TV shows and movies on BINGE
If you’re only after TV shows and movies from Foxtel, streaming service BINGE offers mostly same content for a lower monthly plan fee, with a 7-day free trial for new signups.

Those who want to bundle Foxtel with other channel packs will be able to do so thanks to the seamless integration of channels.
The Foxtel voice remote
The remote control for the iQ5 set-top box acts as your command center for all things Foxtel – and now also lets you issue those commands with your voice. You can just press the button and ask it to find movies featuring your favorite actors or directors, and even throw a famous movie quote at it and get exactly what you’re looking for, even if you can’t remember the title.
It’s a brilliant addition to a service that has thousands of movies and shows ready to watch on-demand, making it easier than ever to find something to watch. Prior iQ boxes – iQ3 and iQ4 – also have the voice remote feature.
