What is the plot of Happy Face?
Melissa Moore (Ashford) is a mother of two who works as a make-up artist on The Dr. Greg Show. Her laborious attempts to live a normal life is dangerously complicated when her incarcerated father insists on reconnecting.
There’s a reason why Moore doesn’t want anything to do with him—her father, Keith Hunter Jesperson, is a serial murderer. Afraid of how the truth will impact her future, she changed her name as an adult and built a life that didn’t involve him, only her father finds a way to make her see him again.
In addition to Dennis Quaid (Lawmen: Bass Reeves) and Annaleigh Ashford (Welcome to Chippendales), the cast also includes James Wolk (Tell Me a Story), David Harewood (Supergirl), Tamera Tomakili, Khiyla Aynne, and Benjamin Mackey. It is developed for television by Robert King, Michelle King, and Jennifer Cacicio with Cacicio writing the series and serving as the showrunner.
