Is Black Bag streaming in Australia yet?
The movie is just about to premiere in Australian cinemas this week. With new films taking about three months (or longer) to debut on streaming TV, it’s likely for Black Bag to be streaming in Australia some time in June or July. It could also take longer, depending on its box-office performance.
We can, however, speculate that it will be streaming on Foxtel and Foxtel Now after its theatrical run and launch on pay per view (Apple TV, Google TV, Prime Video Store, Fetch).
Its global distributor is Universal Pictures and movies from the studio typically go to BINGE, Foxtel, and Foxtel Now when making their streaming debuts.
What is the plot of Black Bag?
Soderbergh’s new spy drama follows legendary intelligence agents George Woodhouse (Fassbender) and his wife Kathryn (Blanchett). When the latter is suspected of betraying her country, George takes on the mission of finding out the truth. With the revelation potentially destroying their lives, will he choose his duty or his marriage?
The cast includes Michael Fassbender, who, just last year, starred in the Paramount+ original spy drama The Agency. The film also stars Cate Blanchett (Disclaimer), Marisa Abela (Industry), Tom Burke (C.B. Strike), Naomie Harris (No Time to Die), Regé-Jean Page (Bridgerton), and Pierce Brosnan (The Son).
It is directed by Soderbergh, written by David Koepp, and produced by Casey Silver and Gregory Jacobs.
