Where will Sonic 3 be streaming in Australia?

With Paramount Pictures co-producing and distributing, we can expect Sonic the Hedgehog 3 to debut on streaming TV via Paramount+, which also streams the first film, Sonic the Hedgehog (2020).

For streaming Sonic 2 in Australia, your options are currently limited as the movie was removed from subscription services. You can, however, rent or buy Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on platforms like Apple TV, Prime Video Store, Google Play, Microsoft Store, and Fetch.

What is the plot of Sonic the Hedgehog 3

There’s a new mysterious villain in town and he’s voiced by John Wick star Keanu Reeves. In Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Sonic (Ben Schwartz) reunites with Knuckles (Idris Elba) and Tails (Colleen O’Shaughnessey) to defeat an enemy who plans to destroy the world, Shadow (Keanu Reeves).

Armed with a tragic backstory, Shadow loathes humanity and has been waiting for the day he can exact his revenge. But with powers unlike anything team Sonic have seen, our heroes might have to rethink their battle plans with their abilities outmatched.

This means they need new alliances if they want to stand a chance against Shadow’s strength, meaning they have to ask their mortal enemy Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) for help, a very unlikely alliance. Carrey also plays Dr. Ivo’s father, Professor Gerald Robotnik, who joins forces with Shadow to destroy the planet.

The new film is directed by Jeff Fowler and written by Pat Casey, Josh Miller, and John Whittington. Serving as producers are Neal H. Moritz, Toby Ascher, Toru Nakahara, and Hitoshi Okuno. Sonic 3’s plot is partly based on the video games Sonic Adventure 2 and Shadow the Hedgehog.

Sonic fans will also be thrilled to know that a brand new manga exploring Shadow the Hedgehog’s prequel story, “Sonic x Shadow Tokyo Mission – Episode 0”, will be released to coincide with Sonic the Hedgehog 3‘s debut. As of this writing, it’s been confirmed to initially come out in Japan on 27 December.
