Where will Transformers One be streaming in Australia?
Paramount Pictures is distributing the movie in Australia, which means it will be streaming on Paramount+ after its theatrical run. Foxtel’s deal with Paramount makes it also possible for film to screen on Foxtel, Foxtel Now, and BINGE as well.
It is, however, worth noting that new movies are released digitally via pay per view (e.g., Apple TV, Google Play, Fetch, Prime Video Store, and Microsoft) first prior to arriving on subscription streaming.
Where to watch the other Transformers movie?
The live-action trilogy starring Shia LaBeouf are all available to stream on BINGE, Foxtel, Foxtel Now, Paramount+, and Stan, as well as the two sequels starring Mark Wahlberg.
You can also watch the spin-off Bumblebee and standalone sequel Rise of the Beasts on the aforementioned services.
What is Transformers One about?
Before Optimus Prime became the formidable leader of the Autobots, he was miner Orion Pax (Chris Hemsworth), best friends with D-16 (Brian Tyree Henry), who later became his sworn enemy Megatron. Transformers One tells the origin story of the Transformers franchise’s biggest characters and how they change the fate of Cybertron forever.
Discovering corruption in Cybertron under its scheming leader Sentinel Prime, Orion and D-16 team up with Elita-1 (Scarlett Johansson) and B-127, later Bumblee (Keegan-Michael Key), to stop him from further ruining their planet. As they attempt to restore the peace, the resulting rebellion tears the two best friends apart, with D-16 consumed by his need for revenge.
The first-ever fully CG-animated Transformers movie, it serves as a prequel film to Michael Bay’s Transformers trilogy. It’s also the franchise’s first animated feature film since The Transformers: The Movie in 1986. It is directed by Josh Cooley from a screenplay by Eric Pearson, Andrew Barrer, and Gabriel Ferrari.
