What is Blaze and the Monster Machines about?

Blaze is an orange-red monster truck driven by a smart, techie boy named AJ. Blaze isn’t the only one – as they all live in a world where monster trucks live like people do.

Called the “Monster Machines”, they mostly race and solve problems that teach young audiences various concepts in science, technology, engineering and math.

Blaze and AJ live in Axle City where the former is hailed as the top racer, to the jealousy of his long-time rival and the show’s main antagonist, Crusher.

Despite Crusher’s many attempts to cheat and steal Blaze’s victory, the A-team, which also includes Blaze and AJ’s other truck friends  Starla, Stripes, Zeg, Darington, Watts, and Sparkle, work together to overcome Crusher’s schemes.

This adventure and racing series for kids is created by Jeff Borkin and Ellen Martin, with episodes directed by Miguel Martinez-Joffre. Nickelodeon Animation Studio produces the show alongside WildBrain Studios.
