Zendaya stars in the Challengers movie, a new sports comedy-drama with a hint of twisted romance from visionary filmmaker Luca Guadagnino (Call Me By Your Name, Bones and All). 

Challengers follows a former tennis superstar turned coach successfully transforming her husband into a grand-slam champion. But when his record becomes tainted with an alarming losing streak, she decides to make him play a challenger event, reuniting them with someone they both share a turbulent past with.

The Challengers movie is set to premiere in Australia on Thursday, 18 April 2024, about a week earlier than its scheduled US release date.

Where is the Challengers movie streaming after? 

With Warner Bros. internationally distributing the film, Challengers will most likely stream on BINGE, Foxtel, and Foxtel Now after its theatrical run and initial digital release on pay per view.

What is the plot of Challengers (2024 movie)? 

Tashi Duncan (Zendaya) is a former tennis prodigy. After a career-ending injury, she continues her life in tennis as her husband, Art’s coach. His transformation from an average player into an international champion only proves Tashi’s competence even as a coach. 

However, when her husband’s future in tennis is threatened by subsequent losses, Tashi decides to make him play a challenger event. It only complicates things when he ends up competing with his former best friend Patrick, who also happens to be Tashi’s ex-boyfriend. 

Challengers is directed by Luca Guadagnino from a screenplay written by Justin Kuritzkes. The former also produced the movie alongside lead star Zendaya, Rachel O’Connor, and Amy Pascal.
