Miriam “Midge” Maisel is a young housewife and mother who has everything she ever wanted, until her supposedly perfect husband, Joel, leaves her for his secretary. Betrayed and dejected, her once picture-perfect life crumbles right before her eyes. But hope is not lost for Midge, not after discovering a talent she didn’t know she had: stand-up comedy. Had it not been for her husband’s infidelity, she wouldn’t have stumbled onstage drunk, upset, and still in her nightgown. As it turns out, some talents are discovered, some nurtured, and some are just born out of wrath, which then brings us to the really marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
Returning for a fifth season, find out how you can watch new episodes of the acclaimed series right here.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 5 preview
Midge definitely has what it takes to shine in stand-up comedy, but it’s a world that has yet to make things easier for a woman, something that she’s been navigating with courage. While there are breakthroughs and victories worth celebrating, there are also complexities and challenges that our favourite comedian has yet to figure out. And it’s in Season 5 that things can and probably will happen for Midge.
After being dropped from Shy Baldwin’s (LeRoy McClain) tour when she inadvertently outed his sexuality during a comedy set at the Apollo, Midge has been finding it difficult to find her feet. Meanwhile, she found another chance at Wolford, a burlesque club in Manhattan. While this gave her a semblance of control and power as she denies the pain that her spiraling career brings her, Midge only got farther from her goals, refusing to accept any opening act gigs, even from Tony Bennett.
In Season 5, we’ll find out what’s next for Midge as she sets her sights on The Gordon Ford Show. Fans are also curious about her relationship with fellow comedian Lenny Bruce (Luke Kirby). Will they finally get together this season? What about Joel’s current predicament about his girlfriend Mei’s unexpected pregnancy?
And will Midge finally get the ultimate break she has been yearning for ever since she began her career in stand-up comedy? By the looks of things, there are so many questions that need answering as soon as possible. Fortunately, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 5 is almost here.
