Adding to Disney’s growing catalogue of music specials is Bono & The Edge: A Sort of Homecoming with Dave Letterman, following the TV host’s first visit to Dublin and his time spent with U2’s Bono and The Edge. Because what better way to fully experience Dublin than by hanging out with two of Ireland’s most iconic musicians.
Letterman’s visit coincides with the duo’s concert performance at the old Ambassador Cinema building in the city where they perform some of their greatest songs. Fans will also get to see and learn more about Bono and The Edge as they talk about their music and their most remarkable songwriting partnerships.
The docu-special, which is equal parts travel film and part concert movie, is produced by Ron Howard’s Imagine Documentaries, Tremolo Productions, and Dave Letterman’s Worldwide Pants in collaboration with Disney Branded Television. Executive producers for the music special include Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Sara Bernstein and Justin Wilkes, while Meredith Kaulfers and Mike Sweeney are co-executive producers.

The documentary special will have its global premiere on 17th March 2023 on Disney Plus. Its launch coincides with the release of U2’s upcoming album Songs of Surrender, a collection of 40 U2 songs from across the band’s back catalogue re-recorded and several successful songs re-imagined.
