The movie was first screened at several festivals, most notably at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival and the 2022 Cannes Film Festival where it won the Grand Jury Prize and the Golden Eye award, respectively.

After its theatrical run, All That Breathes will become available on streaming courtesy of HBO Documentary Films acquiring worldwide television rights.

In Australia, it will premiere on 8th February 2023 on Foxtel. Specifically, it will air on the FOX Docos channel at 7.30 pm. It will also debut on streaming TV via Foxtel Now, as well as on BINGE.
