Channel 4’s new comedy series, the Chivalry TV show, finally arrives in Australia this month. The new show is created by its lead stars Steve Coogan and Sarah Solemani, who portray the ultimate producer-filmmaker tandem. After the future of a big-budget movie hangs in the balance, they become obliged to work together in order to save it from being a complete failure. They’re determined to hate each other, sure, but their attraction for one another often gets the best of them. Considering they operate in Hollywood in the post-MeToo era, will their romance stand a chance?

Chivalry TV series preview
A cynical studio exec brings together an unlikely pair, woke writer/director Bobby and ladies man producer Cameron, to salvage a failing movie. Bobby’s career is just taking off after the success of her low budget indie debut. Starting to build her name and reputation, she’s promised studio funding for her feminist Biblical biopic. But there’s a catch: she must rescue a sexually controversial thriller first.
Cameron, on the other hand, is a successful producer whose new film features some distasteful sex scenes that scream sexism. Bobby is brought in to rectify this issue. Since they’re forced to work together, both are resolved to despise the other. However, the unlikely duo soon find common ground and are ultimately brought closer by a creeping attraction.
More importantly, their gut also tells them that they’re just being used as pawns in the studio’s agenda for a Saudi Arabian buyout. Featuring an intriguing story with hints of dark comedy, Chivalry also features cameos from a number of A-list stars that includes Paul Rudd and Sienna Miller.
