Thirty years after the tragic and one of the most legendary scenes between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, The First Order had risen from the ashes, and now a new force awakens.
This Star Wars Franchise is the first part of the new Star Wars trilogy. It is co-written and directed by J. J. Abrams along with co-writers Abrams, Lawrence Kasdan, and Michael Arndt; John Williams is also back in this Star Wars film to compose the film’s musical scores. Unfortunately, this is the first film where Star Wars creator George Lucas was not extensively involved, and he only served as a creative consultant in the early stages of film production.
The original Star Wars film cast, Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, and Peter Mayhew, will be reprising their original well-known Star Wars roles. Joining them in Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens are the new generation actors Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, and Oscar Isaac.

Thirty years after the rebellion destroyed the Death Star, the Galactic Empire rose from the ashes, and The First Order hunted down the missing Jedi Master Luke Skywalker.
While the First Order and the Resistance are looking for the missing Jedi, an ex-stormtrooper crashlanded on the desert planet Jakku and met a 19-year-old desert scavenger girl. These two, Finn & Rey, join forces with the Resistance’s skilled pilot, creating a trio of new heroes.
The Resistance’s skilled pilot, Poe Dameron, holds vital information about Luke’s location, and because of it, he is being chased by the First Order. As they fight against the Stormtroopers commanded by Kylo Ren, they have to work with Han Solo with his Millennium Falcon.
In search of the missing Jedi, they also aim to tear down the new superweapon of the First Order, Starkiller Base, a star destroyer.

How many Star Wars movies are there?
The Star Wars franchise consists of nine films. The Star Wars Universe is clustered into three trilogies; Prequel Trilogy, Original Trilogy, and the most recent addition, Sequel Trilogy.
