Cronulla Sharks 2024 Broadcast Guide and NRL Streaming Rights
The 2024 NRL regular season kicks off the 2nd of March and includes 27 rounds, where each team will play a total of twenty-four matches while also receiving three byes.
In a broadcasting deal that extends until the end of 2027, the Australian TV rights for the Cronulla Sharks and 2024 NRL season have been secured by Foxtel and Channel Nine.
Channel Nine will continue to broadcast up to three live games a week (Thursday night, Friday night, and Sunday afternoon), as well as an additional live Saturday night match during the last five rounds of the regular season. But each of these matches will also be available on Foxtel/Kayo.
Channel Nine does, however, have exclusive live TV rights to the State of Origin series and the 2024 Grand Final
NRL Provider | 2024 Regular Season | Streaming |
---|---|---|
Kayo Sports | Every NRL match LIVE except the Grand Final which will be on replay | Yes – 7 day free trial |
Foxtel Now | Every NRL match LIVE except the Grand Final which will be on replay | Yes – 10 day Free trial |
Channel Nine | Up to three live games a week including the Grand Final | Games on Nine are Simulcast on 9Now |
As for the Sharks, the Network Nine will carry only about 9 of their matches live across channel Nine and their streaming platform 9Now, which unfortunately is less than half of the total games Cronulla will be playing.
For comparison, Foxtel and its broadcast partners Kayo Sports and Telstra, will be televising every game in every regular season round live, with no ad-breaks during play.
That’s a total of 204 matches, as well as every Cronulla Sharks home and away game available to watch Live. The matches will be carried on the 24/7 dedicated Fox League channel, where the programming will be formatted for 4K Ultra HD.
In addition to every regular season NRL match available live, the online platform Foxtel Now and the streaming service Kayo Sports currently offer new subscribers a free trial.
Stream the Cronulla Sharks live with Kayo Sports
Kayo Sports gives you access to the same NRL broadcasts as Fox League (every game of every round LIVE with no ad-breaks during play) so you can stream the Cronulla Sharks live or on-demand.
New subscribers can watch Cronulla Sharks games on Kayo with a 7-day free trial. Kayo doesn’t have a lock-in contract or equipment fees, which means you can cancel anytime if you’re no longer using it.
With Kayo Sports, you can stream using a wide range of eligible devices. Devices available to Kayo users include select PCs, Macs, iOS and Android phones and tablets and more.
For fans who want to catch up on the action, Kayo Minis provide a 10-20 minute recap after the final whistle has been blown.
Other Kayo features include Interactive Graphics, SplitView, No Spoilers and Key Moments, which provide highlights throughout matches in real-time.
Watch the Cronulla Sharks live online with Foxtel Now
Fox League can be accessed via Foxtel and Foxtel Now. To watch on Foxtel with a Standard or HD TV, you have several choices, including subscribing to the Foxtel Plus pack to access over 50 channels of sport, entertainment, drama, lifestyle, docos, reality and more.
You also have the choice to watch the Cronulla Sharks online using Foxtel Now, which currently comes with a 10-day free trial. This option includes the ability to stream NRL using the Foxtel Go app.
As well every Sharks regular season match available live, and the option to watch replays at a later time, Foxtel Now has a wide range of NRL programming such as NRL Tonight, NRL 360 and the Late Show with Matty Johns.
Fox League comes as part of the Foxtel Now Sports Pack ($29 per month) which can only be purchased on top of an Essentials Pack ($25 per month) after any free trial have expired.
Watch the Cronulla Sharks live on Telstra
Foxtel, Foxtel Now and Kayo Sports are available through Telstra by simply adding them to your account.
Foxtel from Telstra offers the exact same NRL programming as a standard Foxtel service, and is available with the purchase of a twelve-month subscription.
Foxtel Now from Telstra is generally available at a reduced monthly rate, and sometimes can be acquired without a lock-in contract. To access live NRL games using Foxtel Now from Telstra you will need to pay for the Foxtel Now Essentials Pack and then add the Sports HD Pack.
Likewise, the Kayo Sports on Telstra package often includes a cancel anytime feature. To access Kayo Sports on Telstra simply choose between either Kayo Basic or the Kayo Premium plans.

Watch select Cronulla Sharks games on Channel Nine
The Nine Network, better known as Channel 9, is the official NRL free to air broadcaster and will show a select number of Sharks matches live during the 2024 Premiership season.
That’s because under the newest NRL broadcasting agreement, Nine could only secure three live games a week during the first 22 rounds, and then up to four live matches in rounds 23-27.
As a consolation of sorts, channel Nine does have exclusive TV rights to the State of Origin series, and the NRL Grand Final.
