Shameless Season 11 preview
It’s the final call for The Gallaghers. After a decade of mayhem, laughter and tears, the South Side’s favourite clan is set to go out with a bang. It’s certainly going to be wild, but changes are coming that will force each one of them to step up or hit the road.
And while devolution may come a little more naturally than evolution within a family where excess is the norm, one thing is certain – Gallaghers may grow up, but they’ll never grow apart (even though Debbie rules over the Gallagher family with a strict resolve).
Season 11 begins with its portrayal of life during the pandemic. Frank fears gentrification in Chicago and ultimately, as it is with life, changes have to happen, obliging to reevaluate their choices.
But despite the complications and doubts, Liam reminds Frank of everything that makes him who he is. The father and son further bond as both continue to partake in each other’s activities, for instance, competing in a renaming contest of the Dennis Hastert Middle School.
Moreover, one of the highlights of the final season also comes when the dynamic duo Frank and Kev scheme to get rid of the Milkoviches from the neighborhood. More than this outrageous mayhem, Frank the weed connoisseur helps Kev and V as they struggle with their pot business (after bar closures force Kev to venture into another hustle).
Meanwhile, Debbie confronts Sandy about their relationship. As things get more complicated for the both of them, Debbie struggles with the truth that Sandy is married. But it’s not all doom and gloom in the Gallagher household as Lip settles for a new job and Carl finally finds his calling in the police force.
For the final season of Shameless, Veronica (Shanola Hampton) and Kevin (Steve Howey) are both back, as well as Ian’s husband Mickey Milkovich (Noel Fisher), and Lip’s girlfriend and baby momma, Tami Tamietti (Kate Miner). The finale’s episode is titled “Father Frank, Full of Grace”, which perfectly wraps up the entire series with a surprising twist.
