Foxtel Updates Content with Changes to Channel Line-up

Foxtel new channels

Foxtel’s recent content update adds new channels and removes old ones. Documentary fans will take great delight in the addition of Investigation Discovery while the launch of FOX Sleuth and FOX Sci Fi completes Foxtel’s established FOX channel portfolio.

This year, the company delivers significant changes to its content, prompting for the inclusions of new documentary, entertainment, and news channels for a more prolific TV experience. Some channels have also been removed to allow Foxtel to explore and invest in other content.

Kids’ channels update

From February 29, Disney Channel and Disney Junior will be removed from the kids’ channel line-up. Foxtel will continue to provide kids content with Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, and CBeebies as part of the kids’ add-on package, while two more kids’ channels Boomerang and Nick Jr. are included in Foxtel Plus.

Foxtel Now, on the other hand, provides all five channels in one pack, which you can get as part of Foxtel Now’s All Packs. Also, the current Foxtel Kids app, which is part of the Kids pack, is no longer available. For children’s shows on the go, download the Foxtel Go app.

Other channels to say goodbye this year are Discovery Kids and Eurosports. Sports fans can still enjoy over 50 sports on Foxtel and Foxtel Now’s 12 HD channels: FOX Cricket, FOX League, Fox Footy, Fox Sports 503/505/506/507, ESPN 1 & 2, and beIN Sports 1/2/3.

Foxtel completes FOX line-up

Foxtel’s new channels FOX Sleuth and FOX Sci Fi deliver a fresh variety of content for customers to binge on. FOX Sleuth is the home of everything crime drama with highlights from the classics Murder, She Wrote, Murdoch Mysteries, and the original Magnum P.I.

Fan favourites Prime Suspect, Silent Witness, Waking the Dead, and Inspector Morse, among others, also join the list of featured shows.

FOX Sci Fi, meanwhile, combines the mysteries of the paranormal, supernatural, and science fiction with a solid assortment of shows, including Charmed, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, The X-Files, Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek: The Original Series and its several television sequels.

The launch of FOX Sleuth and FOX Sci Fi solidifies Foxtel’s entire FOX channel line-up, joining recently launched FOX ONE, FOX FUNNY, FOX H!TS, FOX CRIME, and existing FOX entertainment channels FOX SHOWCASE, FOX8, and FOX CLASSICS.

FOX Sleuth is part of the Foxtel Plus pack while FOX Sci Fi is added to Favourites as part of the Platinum Plus Bundle. Both channels are also added to Foxtel Now’s Drama Extra pack.

Foxtel Now introduces new channels

Documentary fans will be pleased with the addition of two new channels as part of the Foxtel Now Docos pack — Animal Planet and Investigation Discovery.

For Foxtel customers, Animal Planet is part of the Foxtel Plus bundle and Investigation Discovery belongs to the Favourites pack. Foxtel Now also introduces three channels for up-to-minute news — CNBC, Bloomberg, and BBC World News.
